Scarsdale International School
…recently joined us at our Khanpur Lake facility for a 4 days adventure teambuilding experience with EMAC. The students underwent extensive ‘timed’ challenges like Campsite setup, Raft Building, Bonfire Making along with exciting adventure sports activities like Cave Exploration, Cliff Jumping, Jet Skiing and Rappelling (Abseiling) to facilitate teamwork, bonding, communication skills, leadership and trust building.
Scarsdale International School was an amazing experience. A group of 30 students with 4 teachers arrived on 29th October 2013 for 4 days and 3 nights stay at our location at Khanpur Lake.
The purpose of the SIS field trip was confidence building, taking responsibility and to own up the tools provided to them, all this encompasses to bring out from the students the hidden and unexplored talents. The physical activities made them realized that there is more to life than sitting in front of electronic gadgets, which has become a norm in our youth.
During the period, 3 teams were formed with a team leader, they had to undergo various activities which were physically challenging whereby, overcoming their fears and proved that they had the capability to prevail over “I can’t do this”. The activities involved cliff jumping, caving, jet skiing, building a bonfire and camping on site in tents.
Creativity and thinking process were involved in all these activities which also included “Raft Building” and ensuring that it reaches the destination marked. EMAC also arranged different mental challenges as well during the evening time and gauged the teams, in the end each student was evaluated and certificates of commendations were provided.
The management and students were most thrilled with the kind of experience they had gone through with EMAC and from the time of their arrival till departure a special bond had been created between them as they survived and helped each other all during their stay. The thrill on their faces was enough for EMAC to believe that “TASK ACHIEVED”.
It is EMAC’s aim to encourage such activities and bring out the hidden talents from the youth besides their daily academic schedules. It brings out the very best from the child of the qualities and talents which not even their parents or the teachers would ever be able to explore.
The programs can be custom-designed according to the requirement of the institution and Team EMAC.
A special thanks to the organizers from the school Ms. Caitlin Malik and Mr. Romuald Delattre without whom this extraordinary learning trip would not have been possible. The EMAC Team looks forward to having Scarsdale students joining us again.
